Requirements
- Commercial experience as a Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Good commercial experience with AWS
- Strong experience with Terraform
- Experience with Ansible automation
- Linux administration experience
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Scripting experience with Bash and/or Python
- Experience with cloud networking, including VPCs, IAM, load balancers, and routing
- Experience with infrastructure automation and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of cloud security and best practices
- Experience with GKE and/or Amazon EKS is highly desirable
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch is highly desirable
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux is highly desirable
- Experience with service mesh technologies is highly desirable
- Experience with PCI DSS or regulated financial environments is highly desirable
- Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimisation is highly desirable
- Experience with ELK Stack or centralised logging is highly desirable
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning is highly desirable
- Professional AWS or GCP certifications are highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation and configuration management
- Build resilient, secure, and highly available cloud environments
- Work closely with development teams to support application deployments
- Improve automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency
- Optimise cloud performance and spend across multiple environments
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Implement networking, security, and disaster recovery best practices
- Produce clear technical documentation and infrastructure standards
