Well known media and entertainment company based in central London is looking for a Senior Manager Data & Insights Strategy within the Digital marketing department. This role involves working in a small marketing data team providing internal consulting to solve problems using data and maximising marketing success through data insights. The role is both hands-on, designing and building Tableau Dashboards, and consultative, understanding requirements, making presentations, and developing data strategy and enablement.
We seek someone with media agency experience in a marketing data-centric role, such as Data Manager, Data Director, Insights Manager, Insights Director, or Senior Marketing Data Analyst with strong presentation, communication, and project experience in marketing data insights. Essential skills include extensive Tableau experience, 6+ years in data management, analytics, reporting, and good knowledge of marketing Data Management Platforms (DMPs), DSPs, Paid Media, Organic channels, etc.

The Senior Manager of Data & Insights Strategy is responsible for translating business needs into data-driven projects that deliver measurable outcomes. They identify shared ambitions, leverage the right data, people, processes, and technology to maximize project value and impact. They act as a key advocate for data use, engaging all organizational levels to demonstrate benefits, and lead efforts to democratize data and insights via self-service reporting tools. They will enhance decision-making, empower teams with holistic insights, and improve data fluency to reduce reliance on external insights providers.
The role involves focusing on innovative, forward-thinking projects, future-proofing data capabilities, and embedding data governance, privacy, and transparency, with support from Legal teams. They will coordinate with central data teams (Data Insights, Data Science, Data Engineering) on strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical constraints.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of internal reporting solutions leveraging Datorama, Snowflake, and Tableau, connecting data sources into a single database with bespoke visualizations for stakeholders.
- Expand data sources to include all relevant marketing touchpoints throughout campaign and product lifecycle, including brand awareness, lift studies, paid platforms, social performance, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with Media and Organic Social agencies to optimize data use for decision-making and insights.
- Conduct correlation and regression analyses to identify key metrics and work with partners to implement measurement frameworks against KPIs.
- Serve as the point of contact for scoping data projects, liaising with Data teams to ensure requirements are met.
- Own the 1st Party data strategy across CRM, Web Analytics, and Organic Social, setting objectives and analyzing performance.
- Integrate 1st Party data into paid campaigns for targeting and modeling, maximizing efficiency.
- Lead training programs to upskill teams on self-service reporting tools, reducing reliance on external teams.
- Coordinate with Legal to ensure compliance in data collection and activation.
- Work with Data Engineering to embed data governance procedures ensuring data integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6+ years in data management, analytics, and reporting, with demonstrable Tableau expertise.
- Experience in roles leveraging data for marketing and media strategies.
- Media agency experience in data-centric roles or similar.
- Deep knowledge of marketing capabilities like DMPs, DSPs, and campaign tools.
- Strategic thinking, excellent communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience interpreting business data and surfacing insights.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Datorama, APIs preferable; SQL beneficial.
