We are supporting a leading international business growth consultancy currently undergoing significant technology transformation across a portfolio of acquired and integrated businesses. As part of a wider centralisation programme, they are looking for a highly hands-on Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join the team on an initial 3-month contract and help deliver a number of complex infrastructure, networking and identity-related projects. This is not a management role. We're looking for somebody who remains close to the technology, enjoys solving infrastructure challenges and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to assess, configure, migrate and improve environments across multiple technology stacks.

- Network configuration, management and optimisation across multiple environments.

- Infrastructure modernisation and standardisation initiatives.
- Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
- Entra ID, Okta and identity provider rationalisation.
- Hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Firewall, wireless and network security improvements.
- Supporting the migration of acquired businesses into a more unified technology estate.
- Working closely with Infrastructure, Security and Technology leadership teams.

- Strong hands-on network engineering experience.
- Palo Alto Firewall administration and configuration.
- Cisco Meraki wireless and networking technologies.
- Ubiquiti / UniFi networking environments.
- Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
- Okta identity management.
- Microsoft 365 administration and migration experience.
- Hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Network troubleshooting, routing, switching and wireless technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Google Workspace administration.
- Google as an Identity Provider (IdP).

You'll be somebody who enjoys getting into the detail, solving technical problems and improving infrastructure rather than managing large teams.
