A leading global media and entertainment brand is seeking an experienced Commissioning Executive Producer to support the development and production of original specialist factual series and specials for both streaming and linear platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile commissioning team and shape standout content in genres such as history, science and technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Commissioning Editors to develop and deliver a slate of specialist factual programming from concept through to final delivery.
  • Provide strong editorial leadership, ensuring creative excellence and factual rigour across all projects.
  • Collaborate closely with production partners and internal teams to steer ambitious ideas and manage delivery timelines.
  • Offer clear, constructive editorial feedback throughout development, production and post-production.
  • Track budgets, schedules and deliverables, ensuring projects remain on time, on budget and on brand.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, PR and digital teams to maximise audience reach across platforms.
  • Contribute to special projects including acquisitions, digital originals and limited series.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven field experience in specialist factual content (history, science, technology).
  • Strong editorial and creative judgement with a track record of shaping successful factual programming.
  • Experience in commissioning, exec producing or leading high-end factual productions.
  • In-depth understanding of both linear and streaming audiences.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with competitor landscape (e.g. Wall to Wall, BBC).
