Location and Type: London, United Kingdom – Permanent

Client: Our client is an award‑winning payment orchestration FinTech trusted by household names across the iGaming, retail, and travel sectors. They hold a dominant position in the UK and Australia and are now pushing into new European markets and North America. This is a remote role and can be done from anywhere in Europe.

The Role: Our client generates the majority of its revenue from the iGaming vertical. It is their heartland, and they want to protect and grow it properly. This is a senior commercial role tasked with owning the iGaming vertical end‑to‑end: taking over key accounts, building a small team of account executives, and becoming the face of the business to the largest operators in the market. This is a role to start growing a team around you. The right person will be a rock‑solid commercial operator who can land and expand complex enterprise accounts, someone who knows the regulated gambling space, speaks the language of operators, and understands payments deeply enough to hold credibility with technical buyers.

What You’ll Own:

  • Vertical Strategy: Own the commercial strategy for the iGaming segment across UK, Europe, and Australia. Identify whitespace, define account‑based growth plans, and position the business as the payment orchestration partner of choice for tier‑1 operators.
  • New Business: Target priority operators the business has not yet landed, including major European operators, and manage complex enterprise sales cycles from prospecting through to close.
  • Team Building: Build out a vertical‑focused commercial team. This is not a people manager role from day one, but building a team is part of the mandate.
  • Market & Regulatory Intelligence: Track regulatory developments (UKGC, EU member state frameworks, Australian requirements) and translate them into commercial strategy. Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the iGaming market.
  • Cross‑functional Input: Work with Product and Engineering to feed operator feedback into the roadmap. Collaborate with Marketing on vertical‑specific campaigns, events, and thought leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Sector knowledge is non‑negotiable here. The business is already strong in iGaming – this hire needs to deepen that, not learn it on the job.
  • Industry & Domain: Deep iGaming / regulated gambling experience – operators, platforms, aggregators. Solid grounding in payments or fintech infrastructure (PSPs, orchestration, card acquiring, gateways). High‑volume, low‑margin payments experience essential. UKGC, EU, and Australian regulatory awareness required. Open banking or alternative payments a bonus.
  • Profile: Proven enterprise sales track record – complex, multi‑stakeholder, long‑cycle deals. Comfortable as an individual contributor who also builds and mentors a team over time. Strong commercial instincts: understands take‑rates, volume economics, and how to build a business case. Credible at C‑level – operators will test your knowledge quickly. Able to operate without extensive support infrastructure around you.
