We specialise in the design, installation, and maintenance of air-source heat pumps, solar PV systems, battery storage, EV charging infrastructure, and efficient heating systems. We're looking for an experienced Electrician to take on the position of technical lead within our electrical team. You will act as our Technical Supervisor for solar PV and battery storage installations, taking day-to-day responsibility for the technical quality and compliance of our renewable electrical work. This is a genuine step up for someone ready to combine strong technical electrical skills with team leadership and customer-facing responsibility in a rapidly scaling low-carbon energy business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Technical Lead for solar PV and battery storage installations, taking responsibility for technical compliance and sign-off.
  • Carry out engineering surveys for solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and electrical installation projects.
  • Install, test, and commission solar PV systems, battery storage, EV chargers, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Support electrical connections for air-source heat pump and heating system installations.
  • Prepare and issue EICR, EIC, and MCS commissioning documentation to the required standard.
  • Collaborate with our mechanical, design, and project delivery teams.
  • Ensure all work meets MCS, Part P, NAPIT, and health & safety requirements.
  • Complete accurate test certificates, commissioning records, and project documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and uphold PCL Net Zero values on site.

What We're Ideally Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a qualified Electrician in domestic and/or commercial environments, ideally with team-lead experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience in inspection, testing, and certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving, fault-finding, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a small team, as well as work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Solar experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
  • Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
  • Level 3 Award in Electrical Energy Storage Systems.
  • Experience or confidence in carrying out site surveys.
