The Maintenance Technician supports the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and reports to the Quality Assurance Specialist. This position is 100% on-site.
Responsibilities
- Respond On-Call: Be available to report on-site promptly to assess and document issues.
- Assess & Repair: Diagnose issues and perform repairs related to:
- HVAC systems
- Roof/water intrusion (mate line issues)
- Electrical/power issues
- Ceiling/floor tile damage
- Doors, locks, and adjustments
- General modular unit maintenance
- Operate Equipment: Use of Forklifts (including 36K models), Telehandlers, Scissor lifts and manlifts.
- Coordinate Contractors: Oversee third-party contractors (HVAC, electricians, locksmiths, etc.) as needed. Must document all findings and repairs, and provide updates to the QA Manager. Must respond to service calls and schedule assessments within 24 hours of notification. Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
