The role is responsible for day-to-day finance operations including cashbook management, AR/AP processing, reconciliations, and HMRC-compliant import documentation. They will support month-end close, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and intercompany accounting, with direct reporting to corporate finance. Lastly, they will ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and company policies while driving continuous process improvements across finance operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management of the company cashbook and cash allocation.
  • Assistance with accounts receivable and accounts payable – including raising & processing 150+ invoices/credit notes per month and communication with clients & customers to rectify any queries.
  • Import document preparation for HMRC compliance including decision making, liaising with internal and external contacts and IPR imports.
  • Ensuring expenses are claimed in accordance with company policy.
  • Numerous reconciliations to the general ledger.
  • Participation in month end process and production of management accounts.
  • Reporting financial information directly to corporate finance.
  • Assistance with forecasting for numerous departments.
  • Update and analysis of the monthly revenue including forecasting.
  • Assistance with external audit.
  • Assistance with stock reconciliation.
  • Preparation of general accruals/prepayments.
  • Intercompany reporting and reconciliation.
  • Assistance with budget preparation.
  • Compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Identifying & implementing processes as part of continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified to degree level in a financial discipline.
  • Advanced competence level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate competence level in Microsoft Word.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving.
