Main responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with the Executive Finance Director, providing analytical, reporting, and decision-support across the global Clinical Segment, while collaborating closely with both local site leadership and global management teams.
  • Design, develop, and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Smartsheets, Excel, and other business intelligence tools, providing clear visibility into segment performance, key financial metrics, operational KPIs, and business trends.
  • Analyse complex financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers, translating data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare high-quality board-level materials, and executive reporting packs for Budget, Forecast, EC, and other leadership meetings, ensuring information is accurate, concise, and impactful.
  • Support the monthly close, forecasting, and annual planning processes through detailed variance analysis, trend reporting, performance commentary, and financial modelling.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, forecasting, and planning processes through automation, standardisation, enhanced data visualisation, and the implementation of best-practice reporting solutions.
  • Support investment appraisals, capital expenditure reviews, business case development, and strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Contribute to cross-functional business improvement projects and corporate finance initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve visibility and efficiency.

Work Experience & Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or a related finance role.
  • Advanced and demonstrated proficiency with Power BI, Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Well organised, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
  • High energy, high ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results.
  • Willing to travel on an occasional basis to support business and project requirements.
  • Pro-active, looking for new solutions, opportunities and insights.
  • Facilitates communication between team members to ensure efforts are aligned.
  • Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development.
  • Holds self and others accountable for specific deliverables and continuously raises the bar in terms of quality of work-products delivered.

Desirable: Experience with Oracle JDE, OneStream and/or Integrify.

Qualifications and Training:

  • Essential Professional financial qualification (ACCA, CIMA, Bachelors) or an equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience gained within a manufacturing environment, preferably Pharmaceuticals.
