Role Overview

Otis is seeking an installation mechanic to install lifts to the highest quality, ensuring all installations meet global safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install new lifts with quality and efficiency.
  • Work safely in accordance with all Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Stay overnight as required.
  • Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.
  • Conduct inspection before and after installation to ensure high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Qualified engineer with knowledge of lift/elevator equipment and application of elevator engineering principles to installation.
  • Qualified to install lifts/elevators to the standards set.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified in Lift Installations.
  • Holder of a valid driver's licence.
  • At least 6 months of experience in the field of elevators, preferably in assembly or on-site installation.
  • Comfortable with plan reading and calculations.
  • Appreciation for technical products and new technologies.
  • Enjoys manual trades and the satisfaction of completing hands-on work.
