I’m recruiting for a major site-based programme in South Wales and need proper project controls and planning people. This role is not reporting-only, not dashboard theatre, and not F9 operators. It is for people who understand that planning and controls protect delivery, cost visibility, programme integrity and commercial position.
Roles Available
- Project Controls Manager – Cost & Commercial bias – Circa £70,000–£80,000 p/a (Day rate considered around £600/day maybe £700)
- 4 × Project Planners – £400–£500/day
- 1 × Lead Planner – £550–£650/day; potential stretch towards £700/day for the right person.
Contract Details
- Duration: 3‑year contract, inside IR35, South Wales, site-based initially with some hybrid possible once embedded into the project.
The Right People Will Be Able To Evidence
- Live site planning or project controls experience
- P6 capability beyond basic updates
- Progress validation against actual site activity
- Sequencing logic and critical path ownership
- Cost, commercial, change or NEC awareness
- Confidence working with delivery, engineering, commercial and senior stakeholders
- Ability to challenge weak logic, poor progress data and unrealistic durations
This is not a role for someone who only reports what has already gone wrong. It is for people who can help control the work before it drifts.
