A leading rail infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join its growing team on a permanent basis. You’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules across a portfolio of rail projects, ensuring programmes are robust, realistic, and aligned with delivery objectives. Core Responsibilities- Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules for rail infrastructure works.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure accurate planning data.
- Monitor progress, identify variances, and support mitigation strategies.
- Produce clear planning reports, dashboards, and programme narratives.
- Support risk reviews, change management, and scenario modelling.
- Attend site visits and progress meetings as required.

- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer within the rail sector.
- Strong working knowledge of planning tools (Primavera P6 preferred; MS Project also considered).
