As demand for our approach continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to become part of the team shaping what comes next. This is an opportunity to do more than manage commercial performance. You'll help influence how landmark residential developments are procured, delivered and continuously improved. You'll work across pre-construction and live delivery, collaborating directly with senior leaders and integrated design, engineering, manufacturing and construction teams. This gives you the opportunity to understand the complete delivery journey, influence decisions from the earliest stages and see the impact of your commercial judgement throughout the project lifecycle.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership, make informed recommendations and resolve commercial challenges, you’ll challenge conventional thinking, strengthen project performance and help grow a business determined to raise the standard of residential construction across London. What you will do

You will provide commercial leadership across landmark residential developments from pre-construction through to completion and final account. You will:

  • Lead the commercial management of projects from tender through to final account.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of project specifications, pricing, programmes and contractual requirements.
  • Support the negotiation and agreement of client and main contractor contracts.
  • Lead supplier and subcontractor procurement, from assessing proposals and placing orders through to managing accounts, relationships and commercial performance.
  • Manage contracts, commercial risk, applications for payment, variations and change throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor financial and physical performance against project targets and agreed programmes.
  • Produce robust cost reports, forecasts, cashflow, valuations and financial performance information.
  • Negotiate confidently with clients, consultants and specialist subcontractors on commercial matters, including variations, claims and final accounts.
  • Maximise value and project profitability while supporting programme certainty and successful delivery.
  • Provide project teams with clear commercial and contractual guidance that supports better decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes and project delivery.
  • Help develop a collaborative, high-performing commercial team.

About you

You’ll already be an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background in construction. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and improving the way projects are commercially managed. You will bring:

  • Experience managing commercial performance across the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction to final account.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
  • Excellent commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing procurement packages, subcontract accounts and supply chain relationships.
  • Experience handling valuations, variations, claims and final-account negotiations.
  • Strong financial reporting, forecasting, cashflow and cost-management capability.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and influence commercial decisions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
