We have an exciting new opportunity at PCE for a Trainee Site Manager to join our Construction Teams.

This role will be a site-based role operating from numerous sites, therefore the willingness to travel and work away is a requirement of this role.

Location

UK Nationwide – the role is site-based, working away on projects across the country. Occasional work may be performed at Head Office in Tamworth if required.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient running of site works and labour
  • Oversee all on-site activities to PCE standards
  • Ensure full understanding of site safety and environmental requirements
  • Promote the company professionally
  • Deliver daily briefings to site operatives
  • Manage the scope of works with Contracts Manager
  • Maintain construction issue drawings/details register
  • Manage method statements, amendments, surveys and setting‑out
  • Ensure on‑site safe working methods and quality control
  • Assist in management of PCE and subcontract labour – safety, quality, discipline, accommodation, transport, plant coordination and maintenance
  • Liaise with clients on programme, forward planning and coordination
  • Provide health and safety oversight for specific contracts
  • Drive continuous operational improvement through instruction and training
  • Maintain paperwork and facilitate weekly toolbox talks
  • Support appraisals where needed
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required by the company
