PC Specialist Ltd is Europe’s leading systems integrator, which currently employs upwards of 300 staff at its Headquarters in West Yorkshire, UK. We specialise in manufacturing bespoke PCs, laptops & All-in-One computers for consumer, business and education markets, across the UK & Europe.
The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.
*WORKING HOURS:* 6am – 7pm – 3 days a week (13 hour day with a one hour paid break)
* Perform a visual check of all built systems to check for any scratches/deformities.
* Flash all systems with the latest bios and update to the customers specifications.
* Run the system image deployment.
* Ensure all correct drivers are installed prior to testing the system.
* Check cable management and ensure all cables are tidy.
* Conduct basic problem analysis and rectification.
* Run the quality control check program, complete all points and initiate the required burn test for the system.
* Conduct functionality tests of components (such as keyboards, USB ports, DVD drives) where applicable.
* Check all systems performance and prepare each build for dispatch, cleaning as appropriate.
* Update the PCS Administration website at the appropriate stages and raise any customer call backs when necessary.
*GENERAL DUTIES:*
* Ensure a clean and safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
* Ensure the compliance of company procedures under your direct control.
* Willingly carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the company.
* Ensure any equipment that you use is in good working order and conduct a weekly physical check.
*Requirements *
* Knowledge of computer components.
* Skills in using Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and installation.
* Good eye for detail.
* History in a quality control environment.
*Desirable skills*
* Manual Handling training (can be completed in-house)
* ESD training (can be completed in house)
* System Integrator training (can be completed in house)
