Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming, with the ability to translate engineering drawings into precise machining instructions. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and operational protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise CNC programmes for various machining operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine tooling requirements and machining processes.
• Set up and operate CNC mills, ensuring proper calibration and functionality of equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Perform materials handling tasks, including the selection and preparation of materials for machining.
• Utilise hand tools for fabrication tasks as required, maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software for designing and modifying programmes is essential.
• Experience operating CNC mills with a strong understanding of tooling requirements. Haas hurco

• Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maths calculations related to machining processes.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to handle materials safely, demonstrating good practices in materials management.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
