We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated QA Tester to join our development team. The QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of our video game titles by identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards our players expect and ensuring a seamless gaming experience.
On a Day-to-day Basis, You Will:
- Conduct comprehensive testing of game features, systems, and content to identify bugs and issues.
- Document and report defects clearly and concisely using Jira.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other team members to reproduce and resolve identified issues.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for new and existing game features.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss testing strategies and priorities.
- Provide feedback on game design and user experience from a quality assurance perspective.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of QA documentation and testing procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in game testing and quality assurance.
Must Be Able To Demonstrate The Following:
- Proven experience in quality assurance testing, preferably within the gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of game development processes and the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using bug tracking tools and software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of various gaming genres and platforms.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with console certification processes.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
