We are looking for a skilled and motivated Heavy Vehicle Technician (HGV/PCV) to join our engineering team at our Lincoln Depot. You will play a key role in maintaining our fleet to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday – Day Shift
- Participation in an on‑call rota for evenings and weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on HGV/PCV vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
- Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out roadside repairs when required
- Work closely with the operations team to minimise vehicle downtime
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an HGV/PCV technician or similar role
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of DVSA regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (HGV/PCV licence desirable but not essential)
- A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
