PBShop is an employee owned ecommerce business supplying books and entertainment products for both wholesale and retail markets. We have recently entered a new phase of our employee ownership journey and are looking to appoint a new Finance Assistant. This role will report into the Financial Accountant and will increase our Finance resource to help meet the challenges of this new exciting time for the business.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, whilst supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
As the business is an Employee Owned Trust, each employee has the opportunity to earn up to an additional £3,600 per year as a tax free bonus (Depending on business performance), plus additional benefits which come with working for a business owned by its staff members.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconcile supplier statements to EDI invoices & post to purchase ledger
- Investigate & resolve supplier invoice discrepancies
- Ensure all supplier claims are up to date and dealt with in a swift and efficient manner
- Post overhead and other non-book invoices to Sage
- Assist with supplier payment runs in Sage & bank
- Update Foreign VAT documents in the TaxBack portal
- Assist with monthly Nominal Ledger reconciliations
- Onboarding new wholesale customers
- Post daily sales invoices & assist with credit control
- Run SAGE foreign currency bank revaluations
- Assist with month end close including stock valuation
- Provide finance support & assistance to Customer Care team
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis
- Maintain Accounts email inbox
- 2-3 years experience in a similar finance role within an SME
- Experience of MS Office products in particular Excel
- Sage line 50 or similar experience desired
