The business is entering a significant growth phase over the next 36 months and expects to recruit a large number of skilled engineering and manufacturing personnel.

To support this, we are seeking an experienced HR & Engineering Recruitment Specialist to manage recruitment and support wider HR activities.

Role Overview

This is a key part-time role focused on sourcing, screening, and securing skilled engineering candidates, alongside supporting day-to-day HR processes.

The role would suit someone seeking flexible hours, potentially around school times, with a mix of home and office working.

Regular time on site will be important to understand the business, engage with teams, and represent PBSC to candidates.

You will work closely with management to understand staffing needs, build candidate pipelines, reduce reliance on agencies, and support HR processes including onboarding, records, absence tracking, and employee administration.

This is a proactive role requiring recruitment experience, ideally within engineering or manufacturing, combined with practical HR support.

  • Key Recruitment Responsibilities
  • Work with managers to understand recruitment needs
  • Recruit for engineering and manufacturing roles (fitters, engineers, welders, fabricators, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain a recruitment plan aligned to growth
  • Write and manage job adverts
  • Source candidates via Linked In, job boards, referrals, and networks
  • Screen candidates and assess suitability, experience, and fit
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines
  • Coordinate interviews and support hiring decisions
  • Maintain recruitment records and tracking
