As a result of continued growth, we now require a Design Engineer who has experience of working with stainless steel / sheet metal products within a machinery and manufacturing environment.

The Role

  • To carry out design functions using Inventor software
  • Production of GA drawings
  • Production of manufacturing drawings and BOMs
  • Ensure all designs comply with the required contract specifications
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers as directed for the purposes of design development and approval
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of designs

Person Specification

  • Inventor 3D experience required (SolidWorks experience will be considered)
  • AutoCAD 2D experience preferred
  • Vault or PDM experience
  • Experience of working within a machinery and manufacturing environment
  • Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and layouts for sheet metal products
  • Knowledge of drawing and design standards
  • IT skills – Including Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of Design Engineering
