About the role
The person you will support is a 30-year-old lady, who lives at home with her mum in Fair Oak. We are looking for a support worker to join her team who currently provide 2:1 support when going out in the community.
Gemma has a diagnosis of learning disabilities, autism, Tourette’s, and Epilepsy, therefore experience in these areas would be useful in supporting her. Gemma requires verbal prompts, support, and encouragement with all aspects of her daily life, finances, medication, personal care, shopping, cooking, and attending activities. It’s very important that her team support her to access a variety of different activities and support her to increase her independence.
Gemma loves to dance and sing to her favourite music, and is looking for fun, confident individuals that can enjoy this with her. She loves the activities she takes part in, such as shopping, going to the cinema, bowling, crazy golf, nature walks, feeding the ducks and music therapy. Gemma can become anxious at times and ideally is looking for team members who are decisive, caring and have real passion to enable Gemma to live her very best life.

About PBS4
We are a values led social care provider for adults with Neurodisability, we support people to live in their own homes, with their own tenancies and our model of support is a practice called Positive Behaviour Support. Our CEO Jonathan Beebee is a registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and qualified Behaviour Analyst. We are a medium-sized organisation supporting 35 people across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Oxfordshire and with a workforce of just over 300.
Within PBS4, we call Support Workers ‘Enablement Assistants’. As an Enablement Assistant you will have the support of a team of people dedicated to supporting that person. You will also be able to access support from the Enablement Manager, Deputy Enablement Manager and the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician who provide you and the team with management and leadership. Your shift pattern may consist of day shifts, waking nights and sleeps.
