About the role

John is 54 and has a diagnosis of Autism and a learning disability. He is supported on a 1:1 basis and lives in his own home in Headington, Oxford. He requires support and encouragement in cooking his meals, shopping, and cleaning his house, to ensure he maintains his independence and gains confidence. He loves listening to music and going for long walks with his team and having lunch in a local pub or café. John works part time as a shop assistant in a charity shop, and team members will be required to support and encourage him to continue this work. He can become anxious at times and therefore requires warm, positive team members to reassure him and help him feel safe and secure.

We support people living in their own homes, with their own tenancies, and we utilise Positive Behaviour Support as the framework for the support we provide.
