Hourly rate: £15.38 per hour on a 42 hour contract, with 1 x sleep in per week paid @ £90, and an additional 3 hours per week )

About the role

Josh is looking for team members who are confident, fun, bubbly, motivated and who are not fazed by physically challenging behaviours. Josh loves being physically active. He really enjoys daily long walks, cycling, swimming so needs his team to keep up with him and enjoy similar interests. Josh wants his team to be fun and supportive but also recognise when he needs time alone. Josh must always be kept in line of sight to ensure his and others safety, and will his team to intervene when he participates in risky behaviours.

Josh is a real foodie and is currently working on his skills development in the kitchen and with food. Josh likes to have a schedule so he can plan everything and keep everyone on track. He is supported by 3 team members at any given time, so he needs to make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing – this keeps him very busy.

Josh has a diagnosis of Autism and needs confident, calm, and experienced team members who can support and reassure him when he becomes anxious. Previous experience in supporting people with Learning Disabilities/ Autism and behaviours that challenge is an essential requirement of this role, and this is reflected in the rate of pay for this individual. About PBS4

We are a values led social care provider that provides Neurodisability services to individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities and/or Behaviours that may challenge. We support people to live in their own homes, with their own tenancies and our model of support is a practice called Positive Behaviour Support. Our CEO Jonathan Beebee is a registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and qualified Behaviour Analyst. We are a medium-sized organisation supporting 37 people across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Somerset, with a workforce of circa 300 employees.

Within PBS4, we call Support Workers ‘Enablement Assistants’. As an Enablement Assistant you will have the support of a team of people dedicated to supporting that person. You will also be able to access support from the Enablement Manager, Deputy Enablement Manager and the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician who provide you and the team with management and leadership. Your shift pattern may consist of day shifts, waking nights and sleeps.
