As a senior manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for the strategic management of the organisation. That includes managing and developing your team in your area of responsibility, developing and implementing the annual business plan, identifying risks to the business, working to mitigate those risks and having budgetary responsibility and ensuring that services are delivered within budget.
You will be responsible for policy development in your area and will be expected to provide strategic direction to your teams. You will ensure that recommendations from external and internal inspection and audit reports are implemented.
You will report to the Board on how you are delivering on our strategic priorities and be responsible for providing assurance to Board committees including Audit and Risk Committee, Corporate Resources Committee and Policy and Practice Committee.
You will represent the organisation at a range of external partnership meetings and provide input to the development of strategies and policies across the wider justice system.
You will be responsible for effectively communicating and engaging with staff and trade union representatives internally and our stakeholders externally. This might mean presenting information to the NI Assembly Justice Committee or providing briefing material to officials in the Department of Justice.
As a leader in justice, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of probation services to help make communities in NI safer.
