We are seeking an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP). The role involves a wide range of clerical, administrative, secretarial, and customer-service tasks, along with occasional reception cover and general support across the department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update PCSP funding databases, including Small Grants and Department of Justice programmes.
- Provide word processing, typing, filing, and general administrative support.
- Assist with maintaining office systems and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Administer PCSP meetings - collating reports, distributing papers, arranging rooms, and organising catering.
- Manage the confidential PCSP 4-Tier Home Security Scheme including referrals, contractor liaison, invoicing, updates, and monthly reporting.
- Liaise with Elected and Independent Members, external agencies, and the public to organise meetings and respond to enquiries.
- Support Corporate Services reception with telephone and front-of-house duties.
- Prepare letters for community groups and assist with external meeting setup.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation.

Qualifications
- Five GCSEs (A-C) including English or NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent), and RSA/OCR Stage 2 Word Processing or Pitman Intermediate Typewriting OR Four years' relevant office experience if the above qualifications are not held.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an office environment, including regular word-processing.
