If you speak German or French and you’re good at tech recruitment, most firms don’t use you properly. They stick you on a UK desk, occasionally ask you to make a call to Frankfurt or Paris, and leave the language gathering dust. This is different.
I’m working with a privately owned multilingual consultancy to find someone to take ownership of an established European tech desk. The clients are real: Germany and France, focusing on IT Infrastructure, Data, Cyber Security, Change and Transformation. The relationships exist - they just need someone who can work them properly and grow from there.
This isn’t a cold start. But it’s not a passive role either. You’ll be expected to hunt as well as farm.
The role: Senior 360, pure perm, mid to senior level. London, Germany, France and wider Europe. One day a week in the London office on Fridays. The rest is yours to manage.
The package: Base £35,000-£45,000, negotiable depending on what you’re billing. Up to 30% commission, no threshold. Four weeks a year working from abroad (useful if home is partly somewhere else). No heavy KPI structure. You’re trusted to perform, not chased to.
This suits you if:
- You’re fluent in English and German or French.
- You have at least two years of 360 agency experience.
- You’re billing around £150k+ and you’re frustrated that your language skills aren’t opening the doors they should.
This doesn’t suit you if:
- You need daily structure, a managed pipeline or someone looking over your shoulder to stay motivated.
If the European market is where you’ve always thought you should be focused, let’s talk. DM me and it stays confidential.
Applications will only be considered if you have the relevant Recruitment Agency / Recruitment Consultancy experience and your skill set matches those required and stipulated within the advert text.
