Role: Recruitment Consultant – Renewable Energy £27–30k + 40% commission Chelmsford (hybrid)
If you’ve hit the ceiling in your current sales role. Sick of low margins, uninspiring product, no ownership of your pipeline. This is your way out.
This company places engineers into clean energy projects across the UK and Europe. Think solar farms, battery storage, grid infrastructure. The backbone of net zero. They work with big names (like Shell) and deliver into high-growth markets. It’s fast-paced, but not boiler room. It’s high-value, but not transactional.
What’s in it for you?
- Commission up to 40%. Average deals bring in £14k–£17k. You don’t need to do many to make good money.
- Live roles to work on from day one. You’ll have active client accounts - not expected to cold call 200 people a day to ‘build a desk’.
- Genuinely growing sector. The clean energy market is exploding and this is a way to step into it without needing recruitment or engineering experience.
- Clear career path. Learn directly from a founder who’s built high-performing teams with a track-record of training people from outside the industry.
What you’ll actually do:
- Speak to hiring managers and engineers in renewable energy.
- Understand what they need, who fits and why.
- Build long-term relationships - this isn’t a one-call-close environment.
- You’ll be on the phone, but with purpose. Not reading a script or grinding a contact list for 8 hours straight.
Who this is perfect for:
- 3+ years in B2B or B2C sales - maybe insurance, finance, medical sales or something technical.
- You’ve had some success but feel stuck - low-value product, capped earnings, no support.
- You’re curious, confident and not afraid to pick up the phone and have a proper conversation.
- You don’t need to know recruitment. You just need to know how to sell, be credible and want more from your day.
