About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This is a key role in the financial performance management of the company, with direct exposure to the complexities of the fintech, payments, and digital assets landscape. You will have the opportunity to help develop and execute tasks that support growth, performance, and future objectives at a rapidly growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes in line with fintech and payments regulatory requirements
- Prepare and maintain operational cash flow forecasts, including multi-currency and crypto asset positions
- Monitor accounts receivable, stablecoin/crypto treasury balances, and identify financial risks
- Ensure timely submission of tax, statistical, and annual reports in compliance with Canadian regulations, including FINTRAC reporting obligations
- Collaborate with auditors, state institutions, and regulatory bodies, including FINTRAC (Canada’s financial intelligence unit)
- Participate in the development of the company’s annual budget and oversee budget execution
- Oversee safeguarding of customer funds, including fiat and digital assets, and prepare for financial reporting related to payment volumes, settlement flows, and crypto transactions
What We Expect From You
- Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of proven experience as a Senior Accountant, in banking, fintech, or payments
- Hands-on experience with crypto accounting, digital asset reporting, or blockchain-based payment flows is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with stablecoin settlements, crypto treasury management, or DeFi-related financial processes
- Experience with payment service providers or similar regulated entities, ideally with exposure to Canadian AML/compliance frameworks (FINTRAC)
- Successful track record of cooperation with external audits
- Structured approach with the ability to deliver results within defined deadlines
- Passionate about leveraging technology and automation to scale accounting processes
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a rapidly evolving industry
