We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly structured Quality, Compliance & Training Manager to establish and scale our Centre of Excellence (CoE). This pivotal role will be the engine room behind how we maintain operational consistency, quality, and compliance across the business — and how we scale our people, processes, and systems globally.
In the immediate term, you will lead the creation of company-wide SOPs, training frameworks, and documentation standards. Longer term, you will play a key role in:
- Integrating new acquisitions by standardising practices across acquired businesses
- Building a Training Academy to onboard and upskill remote, international, and outsourced teams
- Supporting the development of a global delivery model, underpinned by structured, replicable practices

Key ResponsibilitiesCentre of Excellence & Process Frameworks
- Build, lead, and embed a central Centre of Excellence to define and enforce standards across all business units.
- Develop and maintain a company-wide repository of SOPs, process maps, templates, and documentation.
- Work with departmental leaders to standardise onboarding, service delivery, and reporting across teams.
- Support M&A integration by onboarding acquired businesses into the CoE framework.
- Review and approve high-stakes documents (e.g. policies, SOPs, proposals, internal guides) for clarity and compliance.
- Coach internal teams on documentation best practices and writing standards.
Training Academy & Global Workforce Development
- Design and launch a scalable Training Academy to support onboarding and progression of both UK and overseas staff.
- Create modular, role-specific training content using blended delivery (e-learning, workshops, videos, etc.).
- Conduct training needs analyses in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor training outcomes and progression, reporting against defined KPIs.
- Collaborate with HR and business unit leaders to prepare offshore teams for outsourced delivery work.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Oversee internal compliance policies and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO, CQC).
- Maintain the internal compliance calendar and risk register.
- Conduct regular audits, lead training on compliance topics, and coordinate incident responses.
- Ensure compliance and QA are embedded within the CoE’s governance structure.
Contract & Tender Support
- Review contracts, SLAs, and tenders to ensure consistency, clarity, and risk control.
- Lead or contribute to public sector tender submissions, bid writing, and response development.
- Maintain a central repository of reusable bid assets, policies, and case studies.
Social Value & ESG
- Support the integration of social value commitments into recruitment, training, and community initiatives.
- Develop and report on company-wide ESG and social value metrics aligned with procurement frameworks.
Recruitment & Workforce Support
- Support HR with the development of internal recruitment processes, both in the UK and internationally.
- Create role-specific induction and onboarding materials for various departments.
- Ensure recruitment and retention strategies are values-aligned and compliance-ready.
Leadership & Culture
- Champion a culture of excellence, accountability, and documentation discipline.
- Lead internal sessions on quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the internal guardian of “how we do things” — supporting a scalable and values-aligned operation.
- Lead by example in setting behavioural standards and fostering a high-performance environment.
About You
You are a systems-driven professional with experience in operational excellence, compliance, and learning. You have a natural ability to simplify the complex, document the undocumented, and build scalable systems that others can adopt and follow. You thrive in dynamic, multi-entity environments, and are confident in managing change, influencing culture, and supporting strategic initiatives.
Required Experience & Skills- Proven experience designing and delivering training across departments or regions.
- Demonstrable expertise in documentation governance, compliance frameworks, and quality assurance.
- Experience leading or contributing to public sector tenders and reviewing business contracts.
- Familiarity with social value development and reporting.
- Experience supporting recruitment processes in both the UK and international markets.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
- Degree or equivalent in Business, HR, Operations, Education, or Compliance.
- Certifications in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or Quality Assurance (e.g. CIPD, ISO, Lean Six Sigma).
- Project management experience (e.g., PRINCE2) beneficial.
