Main purpose of the role: The Account Director acts as a strategic leader and trusted partner to clients, accountable for building long-term relationships and delivering exceptional service. The role is responsible for driving account strategy, commercial performance, and operational excellence, ensuring delivery against both client objectives and organisational goals. Operating at a senior level, the Account Director leads cross-functional collaboration, identifies growth opportunities, and ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, commercially successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Define and execute account strategies aligned to business objectives and sustainable growth
- Identify and deliver upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise account value
- Own and manage P&L performance, ensuring revenue growth and profitability
- Lead on commercial negotiations, including contracts and renewals
- Client Leadership & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
- Lead regular account reviews, ensuring transparency, insight, and proactive communication
- Anticipate client needs and position solutions to support their strategic goals
- Operational Excellence & Delivery
- Oversee delivery across accounts, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal teams
- Monitor account performance and intervene early to mitigate risks or underperformance
