Are you an experienced Project Manager who enjoys bringing structure, pace and clarity to complex projects?

We’re looking for a confident and delivery-focused Project Manager to join our Retail Services team based in Welwyn Garden City AL7 1EL.

Working closely with the Head of Retail Network Projects, you’ll take ownership of assigned projects and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring they are delivered to agreed scope, timescales, budget and quality standards.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations and supporting the successful transition of new or enhanced products, services and processes into business-as-usual operations.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Lead projects through the full delivery lifecycle, from planning and governance through to implementation and handover.
  • Work with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, deliverables, success measures and integrated delivery plans.
  • Monitor progress against milestones, budgets and quality expectations, resolving issues and escalating risks where needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party contributions, ensuring responsibilities and deadlines are clear.
  • Provide clear project reporting, updates and management information to support effective decision-making.
  • Support operational readiness, including processes, documentation, training, support arrangements and post-implementation ownership.
  • Capture and embed lessons learned to improve future project delivery.
  • Proven experience of successfully leading projects, ideally within financial services, retail or another regulated, customer-focused environment.
  • A strong understanding of project delivery disciplines, governance, planning, budgeting, risk management, change control and reporting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the confidence to anticipate challenges, assess impact and take effective action.
  • A positive, adaptable and proactive approach, with a genuine desire to make a difference and support change.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • It would be great if you also have
  • Knowledge and practical experience of Planisware Orchestra or an equivalent project management platform.
  • A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 Foundation, APM Project Fundamentals Qualification or an equivalent.
