Overview
Assistant Management Accountant. Location: Welwyn Garden City AL7 1EL. Hybrid: 3 days in the office.
We’re looking for a proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team and support the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful management information.
This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who enjoys working with detail, building relationships across the business and using financial information to help stakeholders understand performance, manage costs and make better commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end reporting
- Prepare journals
- Complete variance analysis
- Assist with cost centre reporting
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting and audit activity
Qualifications
- At least two years’ experience in a finance, management accounts or analytical accounting role
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and data
- A good understanding of month-end processes, journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- A proactive, organised and analytical approach
