Warehouse Team Lead

Role Purpose

To lead and motivate a small team of warehouse staff, monitor performance and stock levels whilst ensuring duties are carried out in line with company policies and procedures.

Hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 4.15pm in Welwyn Garden City AL7 1EL

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision of staff working in the workshop and warehouse
• Health & Safety lead for day to day workshop and warehouse activity
• Set and monitor targets
• 3rd party storage transfers
• Stock counting, inputting, ordering and admin
• Oversee terminal repairs, refurbishment and breakdowns.
• Support change and new initiatives
• Identify areas for improvement
• Provide support for the Retail Distribution Manager where/when required

Essential Requirements for the Role

• Warehouse and Logistics management experience
• Effective people management
• Stock and database management experience
• Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and database management skills
• Ability to manage production activity and set targets
• Good communication and organisational skills
