We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to play a key role in the evolution of our digital products across web and mobile.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Love2shop at a pivotal point in our technology journey.
You'll help drive the development of platforms used by millions of customers while influencing technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and helping shape our future architecture.
As we continue to invest in our technology landscape, we're also exploring a move towards a Salesforce ecosystem, giving you the opportunity to contribute to and gain experience in a major transformation programme.

What you’ll be doing
You'll work as part of a collaborative engineering team, helping to design, build and maintain digital products that power our customer experiences.
Key areas of responsibility include
- Developing high-quality web and mobile applications using Java and React Native (or React).
- Helping shape technical solutions with a focus on scalability, security and maintainability.
- Working closely with Product, Design and QA teams to deliver customer-focused features.
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring and day-to-day support to engineers across the team.
- Leading code reviews and promoting engineering best practice.
- Improving CI/CD pipelines, automation and software delivery processes.
- Supporting secure, compliant development within a regulated payments environment.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Participating in an out-of-hours support rota.
Essential skills and experience
- Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring.
- Experience building modern web applications using React and/or React Native.
- Experience working with large-scale or mature applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with secure software development and regulated environments.
- Knowledge of modern testing practices and frameworks.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing and helping teams succeed.

- It would be great if you already have: -
- Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS or GCP).
- Docker and Kubernetes exposure.
- Microservices and distributed systems experience.
- Knowledge of payment, loyalty or e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with technical leadership or team development.
