The Opportunity

This is a unique senior role at the heart of PayPlan's strategy and execution. As Chief of Staff, you will operate as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing strategic insight, ensuring operational alignment, and leading key initiatives that shape the future of the organisation.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Insight & Market Positioning: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and industry shifts to identify opportunities and risks. Own the development of accurate market forecasts and influence business planning, target-setting, and strategic prioritisation. Prepare briefing materials, insightful presentations, and board-level reports. Provide strategic leverage to the CEO by leading confidential and business-critical initiatives.
  • Driving Key Business Decisions: Translate research into actionable insight. Partner with the PayPlan Design Authority. Shape policy opinions and draft documentation to influence external stakeholders. Lead and execute thematic change strategies. Provide oversight and guidance for complex problem-solving. Act as a senior point of reference for performance queries.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships across the ExCo and wider organisation. Establish high standards of performance. Mentor and develop colleagues.
  • Decision-Making, Governance & Regulatory Awareness: Apply robust critical thinking to challenge ideas. Stay informed on regulatory and financial developments.
