Data Insight Support Analyst in Grantham

Location: Hybrid (3 days in Grantham office)

Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (35 working hours and a paid 1 hr lunch break a day)

Salary: £30,000

We are seeking a Data Insight Support Analyst to join our team. This role would be ideal for someone fresh out of university or early in their career who is eager to build a foundation in data analysis. The role will primarily support senior analysts by handling essential data preparation and reporting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across our insight workflows.

This role plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth delivery of data insights to stakeholders. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and enjoys working with data, you will be strong in excel and looking to expand into broader analytics tools.

What you will be doing as a Data Insight Support Analyst at PayPlan:

• Perform routine data preparation, validation, and reporting tasks to support senior analysts.
• Maintain and update datasets, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Use Microsoft Excel (advanced level) to manipulate, clean, and analyse data.
• Support database tasks with Microsoft Access (basic level).
• Assist in producing dashboards, reports, and visualisations for stakeholders.
• Document processes to ensure transparency and repeatability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data workflows and reporting processes.

What Youll Bring

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data cleaning, lookups, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access for database handling.
• Familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage repetitive tasks reliably.
• Clear communication skills for working with colleagues and documenting processes.
• Knowledge of Metabase or other BI tools is a plus, but not required.
• Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business, Economics, IT, Mathematics) preferred but not essential.
