About the Role

What would you be doing as a DMP Team Manager here at Payplan?

We’re looking for a dynamic and empathetic Team Manager to lead and inspire our team of Debt Advisers. A Debt Advisor’s role is to support individuals on Debt Management Plans (DMP) by providing the guidance, resources, and ongoing support they need to effectively manage and repay their unsecured debts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Debt Advisers, ensuring high‑quality financial guidance is provided.
  • Manage performance, setting KPIs, and driving continuous improvement through coaching and mentoring.
  • Create a positive and supportive team culture, empowering individuals to succeed.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between office‑based and remote team members.
  • Implement and embed change management initiatives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for positive change.
  • Uphold Consumer Duty principles in daily operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement and new ways of working at every opportunity.

About You

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • A good understanding of debt solutions and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A problem‑solver with great attention to detail.
  • Confident in handling challenging conversations around performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
