In this role you drive merchant success by managing relationships, shaping account strategy, and identifying growth opportunities for a portfolio of Pay Pal merchants.
You will lead onboarding, product adoption, and ongoing support while aligning merchant needs with Pay Pal’s strategic goals.
You’ll manage a team of Account Managers to achieve revenue and margin targets, influencing cross-functional teams and ensuring a seamless merchant experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects with diverse scope and resolve issues leveraging deep expertise
- Drive global process improvements and efficiencies across the organization
- Monitor and improve business performance metrics and collaborate to implement best practices
- Oversee onboarding, integration, and ongoing merchant operations to ensure positive experiences
- Build and execute account strategies aligned with Pay Pal’s vision to deliver long-term merchant value
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team to meet quarterly revenue and margin goals
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations) to deliver results
- Forecast revenue, manage pipelines in CRM, and report on sales activities and outcomes
- Negotiate complex commercial terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Identify and mitigate risks to merchant satisfaction and success
- Advocate for merchant needs to drive innovation and align solutions with market demands
- Develop executive-level relationships with merchants to align goals with Pay Pal’s solutions
- Key requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Proven people management experience leading a team and delivering results
- Strong knowledge of the payments industry, merchant needs, and trends
- Experience in driving merchant growth, retention, and sales quotas through upsell and cross-sell
- Proven ability to build strategic relationships including with senior executives
- Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and operations for seamless customer experiences
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholder influence in complex deals
- Analytical and strategic thinker with track record of delivering measurable business results
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e. g., Salesforce) for pipeline management and forecasting
