In this role you will lead functional sales development projects and programs to improve processes and outcomes. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to analyze business trends and set best practices, while mentoring the team to hit sales objectives. You will build and sustain relationships with priority partners, guiding pipeline development and joint commercial activity. This position offers autonomy in a matrix environment and the opportunity to drive meaningful impact in the developer ecosystem and merchant acquisition space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional sales development projects and programs
  • Partner with others to analyze business trends
  • Recommend best practices for sales development
  • Contribute to business or process improvements
  • Mentor and guide team members to achieve sales objectives
  • Build and manage relationships with priority local developer agencies and ecosystem partners
  • Create joint referral, pipeline and commercial-development activity with selected agencies
  • Identify and qualify incremental merchant opportunities and route them to the right sales owner
  • Coordinate market, partner and product stakeholders to remove barriers
  • Track agency-generated lead quality, conversion and contribution to incremental business

Key requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in developer ecosystems, agencies, partnerships, channel sales or platform commerce
  • Strong track record of building trusted ecosystem relationships and deriving commercial value
  • Ability to translate integration or platform needs into merchant value and practical next steps
  • Experience coordinating stakeholders and measuring conversion from opportunity to handoff
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to create structure in processes/engagement models
  • Familiarity with the payments industry (advantageous)
  • Ability to work autonomously with diverse decision makers in a matrix organization
  • Strong execution discipline and a results-driven mindset
  • Minimum required education: Bachelor’s degree
