PayPal has been revolutionising commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalised, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy. We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person.
PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers. We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards.
Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorisation and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.
Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the centre of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.
PayPal's Large Enterprise Account Management team works with some of the UK's biggest brands across a wide range of verticals – from fashion and health to travel and grocery. We manage complex, high-value merchant relationships and are responsible for driving payment performance, commercial outcomes, and long-term growth.
We're looking for a Sales Intern who's commercially minded, organised, and motivated to make things happen. This isn't an admin role - it's an opportunity to work inside a high-performing sales team, help us move faster, and get real exposure to enterprise-level account management at one of the world's leading payments companies. If you're someone who gets energy from solving problems, keeping projects on track, and working at pace — this role is for you.
What You'll Be Doing
- You'll be embedded in the Large Enterprise AM team, supporting account managers in executing against their merchant priorities.
- Helping remove blockers and keep commercial projects moving — chasing inputs, consolidating information, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Supporting the preparation of merchant-facing materials: account reviews, executive briefs, and performance decks.
- Assisting with process mapping and project coordination across internal teams (product, operations, analytics, legal).
- Pulling together data and analysis to support business cases, proposals, and merchant conversations.
- Sitting in on merchant calls and internal strategy sessions, and helping action follow-ups.
- Spotting opportunities to make the team's ways of working sharper and more efficient.
The focus is on clock speed — helping us execute faster and more effectively on things that actually move the needle for our merchants.
What We're Looking For
- You don't need payments experience — but we are looking for:
- Commercially curious. You're interested in how businesses grow, how deals get done, and how companies like PayPal create value for merchants.
- Project-minded. You like having ownership of things, keeping track of moving parts, and following through.
- A strong communicator. Clear in writing, confident in conversation, and comfortable engaging with different stakeholders.
- Analytical and structured. You can work with data, spot patterns, and present information clearly — comfortable in Excel and PowerPoint.
- High energy and proactive. You bring a 'let me figure it out' attitude and don't wait to be told what to do next.
- Previous experience in a commercial, sales, or fast-paced environment is a bonus — but not essential.
What You'll Get
- Real responsibility from day one.
- Exposure to enterprise-level sales and commercial strategy.
- A front-row seat to how some of UK's biggest brands think about payments and digital commerce.
- Mentorship and support from experienced account managers.
- The chance to contribute to deals and projects that actually matter.
Additional Responsibilities And Preferred Qualifications
- Start Date: 6 July 2026.
- Internship Duration: 12 months.
