We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Finance Business Partner to take ownership of the financial management and oversight of our UK entity. This is a strategic, hands‑on role responsible for driving financial excellence across safeguarding, audits, budgeting, and planning, while acting as a key bridge between our UK operations and the Bulgarian Finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the UK CEO, Group Finance, and cross‑functional teams to support major client projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide high‑quality financial insights for decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end‑to‑end financial operations for Paynetics UK.
- Manage UK statutory audits, coordinate deliverables with external auditors, and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure full compliance with UK financial regulatory requirements, including FCA-related obligations.
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the UK entity.
- Provide analysis of financial performance, KPIs, and variances, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Deliver financial insight and recommendations to the UK CEO and Group Finance leadership.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the UK CEO, business stakeholders, and Bulgarian Finance team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to UK business owners, providing financial visibility and supporting strategic decisions.
- Ensure alignment between UK and BG finance processes, timelines, and reporting standards.
- Lead safeguarding processes for the UK entity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution.
- Work closely with operational and compliance teams to maintain safeguarding controls, monitoring, and reconciliations.
- Ensure a robust safeguarding framework aligned with both UK and BG regulatory expectations.
- Participate in major client onboarding and strategic initiatives across both the UK and BG entities.
- Support financial modelling, pricing, and due diligence for new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to evaluate financial impacts of new projects.
- 4+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or Audit (FinTech or payments industry experience is a strong advantage)
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large data volumes
- Capability to understand end‑to‑end business processes and contribute to financial planning and performance improvement
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare clear, precise documentation and communication
- Strong financial analysis capabilities, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
- Experience with regulatory or safeguarding frameworks is an advantage
