Our client is a scale up fin-tech, who have developed a strong product portfolio across their integrated banking and payments platform. They offer treasury management with multi-currency accounts, a global payments acceptance platform for pay-in & out, multi-currency operations management & multiple payment methods globally, all fully compliant & safeguarded.
We are keen to hire a VP – Sales to join the business to develop a successful sales strategy and then both personally and through the team, execute these strategies, leading to new logo business and closed deals. This is a player-manager role – you will carry an individual as well as a team target and will take responsibility for leading from the front & by example.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies that achieve revenue targets and company objectives.
- Identify opportunities for new business development and drive customer acquisition and retention.
- Build and manage the Sales team, providing guidance and mentorship to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize market penetration and client satisfaction.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the market and the industry trends and pain points across various payments verticals.
- Act as our internal subject matter expert on all things payments, utilising your experience & strategic knowledge of: card acquiring, cross border payments, global business accounts and domestic/alternative payments.
About you:
We are keen to hire a candidate who can deliver sales success, reporting directly to our CEO and working as part of the senior leadership team with autonomy and support. You are likely to have:
- Minimum of 5+ years senior sales / sales leadership experience.
- Experience of winning new strategic accounts and increasing volumes across all risk and industry sectors & verticals.
- Confident to work within a high pace, high energy and constantly changing scale-up environment – you are likely to be an individual who pursues targets relentlessly.
- Excellent sales, opportunity spotting, horizon scanning and communication abilities, with the ability to adjust approach to suit commercial & environmental requirements.
- Proven track record of business development, with 360 sales experience and ability to organise and prioritise activities effectively to maintain relevant pipeline.
- Experience of building, leading, inspiring, and motivating a sales team around you.
Key skills needed: card acquiring, alternative payments, payments orchestration platforms, business bank accounts (IBAN's) and cross border/domestic payments (SEPA, SWIFT, FPS) & excellent knowledge of the neo bank/fin-tech/EMI sector in the EU.
