We’re partnering with an AI-native point-of-sale and payments platform that’s transforming how restaurants and hospitality businesses run in‑person payments. Their technology replaces legacy POS and payment systems with one modern, intelligent solution designed specifically for hospitality operators. They’re growing their London field sales team and are looking for experienced, people-focused Business Development Managers who enjoy being out with customers, having real conversations, and closing deals face‑to‑face.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll spend most of your time meeting restaurant and hospitality operators in person, understanding their challenges, and showing them how a modern POS and payments platform can make their lives easier.
- Your role will include:
- Attending sales meetings, some booked by the SDR team and some self‑generated, and aiming to be closing deals in line with company targets
- Building & developing your pipeline through referrals, local networking, and cold canvassing
- Delivering tailored demos of the POS and payments platform
- Confidently handling questions around switching systems, pricing, and payments
- Supporting new customers with terminal delivery, installation, and a smooth onboarding experience
- Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date
- Sharing market feedback and customer insights with sales, marketing, and product teams
About you:
- A natural closer who enjoys face‑to‑face sales and seeing deals through to signature
- Self‑motivated and organised, comfortable managing your own territory and diary
- Customer‑led, focused on building trust and long‑term relationships, not just quick wins
- Resilient and proactive, happy getting out into the field and creating opportunities
- Proven experience selling POS and/or card payment solutions
- Experience selling into restaurants or hospitality
- Strong in‑person communication and negotiation skills
- Comfortable with cold canvassing and referral‑led sales
- A target‑driven mindset with a history of closing deals
- Fluent English and the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
