Accounting Systems Analyst

Senior Consultant with 12 years experience in the Payments industry, tracking senior commercial talent worldwide.

Seeking a Systems Accountant for a UK based position. Working for a payments company that works in a niche vertical.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounting flows in payment systems – able to model transactions end-to-end (e.g. payouts, pay-ins, FX conversions, card settlements, balance movements)
• Experience reconciling data between platform transactions and ledger entries across multi‑currency accounts
• Familiar with accounting for EMI/PSP businesses – ideally with safeguarding, float management, and revenue recognition exposure
• Ability to interrogate how systems are recording debits/credits – must be confident spotting gaps or inconsistencies
• Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering/product teams to improve platform accounting logic or reporting
• Comfortable building accounting logic or reconciliation rules based on transaction status, partner data, or raw platform reports
• Prior exposure to platform migrations, accounting transformations, or implementation of new payment/accounting systems is a plus
