As the Director of Operations at Payfuture, you will own the end-to-end operational strategy and execution across markets, ensuring seamless, scalable, and compliant processes. You will identify gaps, improve workflows, and standardise operations to support fast growth, while collaborating closely with Product, Compliance, Finance, and Sales teams. Your mandate is to make Payfuture’s operations a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight & Excellence
- Own the end-to-end operations function: merchant onboarding, settlement, FX processes, and reconciliation.
- Continuously audit processes to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and risk exposures.
- Design, implement, and enforce operational policies, SLAs, and KPIs across teams and markets.
- Ensure operational readiness for new product launches and corridor expansions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Product to ensure operational feasibility and efficiency in new features or corridors.
- Work with Compliance/AML and Risk teams to embed regulatory requirements into daily operations.
- Collaborate with Finance/FinOps to monitor corridor profitability, transaction costs, and margin leakage.
- Merchant Experience & Scalability
- Reduce merchant onboarding time and improve overall operational satisfaction.
- Standardise workflows to support rapid merchant scaling and international expansion.
- Implement automation tools with AI/data teams to streamline compliance checks, KYC/AML, and FX reconciliation.
- Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and scale operations teams across multiple markets.
- Foster a culture of accountability, speed, and process excellence.
- Build operational dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor KPIs, trends, and risk exposure.
