PayCaptain is the UK's first AI-powered Payroll SaaS platform built with financial wellbeing at its core, transforming transactional paydays into an experience benefiting the whole organisation. We're transforming payroll from a back-office chore into a strategic experience that boosts employee financial confidence, reduces admin for Payroll and HR teams, and helps companies genuinely support the people who work for them.

This is a brand-new role, created to define and lead Product Marketing at PayCaptain. As we scale, we need someone who can sit at the intersection of product, partnerships, sales, and brand - shaping how we talk about PayCaptain, how we launch innovations, and how we prove value to the market. You won't be inheriting a rigid playbook. You'll be building it.

If you enjoy ownership, influence, and turning complex products into compelling stories - this role will suit you perfectly. And yes, we're fully remote, with flexible meeting spaces in Manchester and London whenever you want IRL collaboration. But honestly? The best part isn't the product or the compensation - it's the people. We operate with trust, ownership, zero ego, zero politics, and genuine belief in the mission. If that resonates, you'll fit right in.

Who are you? You're a strategic, creative and hands-on Product Marketing Manager with a strong instinct for messaging, storytelling, and commercial impact. You understand how to translate product innovation into clear value propositions, thought leadership, and sales enablement and you enjoy working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Partnerships, and Leadership. You're naturally creative and enjoy thought-inspiring content, sales and marketing assets. You're tenacious in obtaining the information you need from the team, love reaching out to the right people and building relationships across the business and with partners. Most importantly: you care about building products and narratives that genuinely make a difference.

5 Reasons to Join PayCaptain

  • Build product marketing from the ground up - This is a greenfield role with real autonomy. You'll define positioning, launches, content strategy, and enablement from scratch.
  • Work on a genuinely differentiated product - Payroll, AI, and financial wellbeing - combined in a way no one else in the UK market is doing.
  • High impact, cross-functional influence - You'll work closely with Product, Sales, Partnerships, and Leadership, shaping how PayCaptain goes to market.
  • Remote-first, trust-led culture - Work from anywhere in the UK, with flexible meet-ups in Manchester and London. No micromanagement - just ownership.
  • Purpose-led business - As a mission-driven B Corp, we balance growth with impact, building tools that improve people's financial lives.
