Enterprise deals typically sit at 3–6 month sales cycles, selling to HR, Payroll and Finance leaders. Implementation is consultative, typically 3–6 months, with deep long-term value. Who are you? You’re an experienced Enterprise SaaS Account Executive with a track record of winning net new and growing high-value deals in a scaling environment. You’ve worked in the world of Payroll Tech, or HR-adjacent Tech and understand our Decision Maker Persona. Ideally, you’re well connected in the world of Payroll or HR-adjacent Tech, and know the events calendar and love getting out in the field and building connections in our space.

You understand consultative selling and Account Based Marketing, multi-stakeholder navigation, and complex buying journeys, and you know how to lead a deal from first discovery call to signature, working cross-functionally all the way. You’re motivated, articulate, naturally curious, and great with people. And importantly: you care about selling a product that makes a difference.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle from outbound targeting and qualification to close.
  • Build, forecast, and manage a high-quality pipeline that aligns with £40k MRR Quarterly targets.
  • Run discovery that uncovers pain, aligns stakeholders, and positions PayCaptain as a strategic solution.
  • Produce compelling proposals, ROI modelling, and business cases for decision makers.
  • Navigate multi-layered stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT and Procurement.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and champions throughout the buying cycle.
  • Work closely with Customer Success, Implementation, Product and Marketing to ensure smooth handovers and unified messaging.
  • Stay on top of payroll, HR tech, and financial wellbeing trends.
  • Provide feedback to influence product roadmap priorities.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within enterprise accounts.

What Experience Do You Need?

  • ~5+ years of Enterprise SaaS sales experience with demonstrable success against £160k ARR Net New quotas.
  • Experience selling into HR, Payroll, Finance, or adjacent functions (Essential).
  • Strong background in complex, multi-stakeholder, consultative sales cycles.
  • Comfortable leading deals from outreach & discovery through procurement and signature.
  • Experience in a scaling, product-driven SaaS environment.

Salary & OTE Structure

Base salary: £70k–£80k, depending on experience. Full-year OTE is £140k–£160k (2× base), with uncapped commission and a structured onboarding ramp to target.

Interview Process

  • 1st Stage – 30–45 mins with Emily (Head of People) to learn about you and introduce PayCaptain.
  • 2nd Stage – 45-mins interview to discuss your experience, suitability and career goals.
  • 3rd Stage – 60 Minute final interview with key team members.
