payabl. empowers businesses to grow through payments innovation and banking services. Our ambition is to expand our strong portfolio of global financial services we provide to businesses and make them all available in one place on our platform we call payabl.one. As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts.
About this role: This role drives new client acquisition and revenue growth for payabl.’s Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) offering. The focus is on selling embedded banking and card-issuing solutions—including business accounts, IBANs, and card programs—to fintechs, platforms, PSPs, and high-growth digital businesses worldwide. It is a full-cycle, solution-led sales role, covering opportunity sourcing, commercial discussions, and coordination through onboarding. The role requires close collaboration with Compliance, Operations, and Product teams to manage regulatory considerations, technical product requirements, and complex onboarding processes in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Owning the commercial growth of payabl.’s Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) propositions across Europe.
- Identifying, targeting, and closing FinTechs, PSPs, marketplaces, and digital platforms requiring embedded banking or issuing infrastructure.
- Building and maintaining a portfolio of clients and introducers across low, medium, and high-risk verticals (holding companies, software & gaming, marketing, crypto, forex, tech, etc.).
- Generating qualified leads through HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn, existing client networks, and introducer ecosystems.
- Owning the full sales cycle: outreach → discovery → solution design → pricing → compliance (CDD/KYB) → onboarding → go-live.
- Partnering closely with Banking Ops, Compliance, Legal, Product, and CRM teams to structure and launch client programs successfully.
- Staying actively engaged through onboarding and activation to ensure accounts and card programs go live smoothly.
- Maintaining structured pipeline reporting and forecasting using HubSpot, Apollo, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Representing payabl. at industry events and conferences across Europe, strengthening partnerships and brand presence.
What we need:
- Hands-on experience selling Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and/or Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) solutions.
- Proven track record launching IBAN/safeguarding accounts, BIN sponsorship, or card issuing programs.
- Experience structuring embedded finance or issuing partnerships with FinTechs, PSPs, or platforms.
- Strong understanding of CDD/KYB, AML, safeguarding, and regulatory onboarding for regulated financial products.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder fintech infrastructure deals (not only merchant acquiring).
- Strong stakeholder management – collaborates effectively with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Ops; builds trust across functions.
- Ownership mentality – accountable from first conversation to go-live and activation, not just contract signature.
- Credible communicator – confident representing payabl. with founders, fintech leaders, and partners at industry events.
