Pay.UK are looking to engage with an experienced Workday HCM Consultant to support in the implementation of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) modules over a period of 9 months starting in November 2025. The consultant will work closely with the internal People team and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption of Workday HCM functionality.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborating with People and IT teams to define requirements and implementation plans.
- Work with implementation partner with configuring and deploying Workday HCM modules as per project phases.
- Providing subject matter expertise and guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Supporting testing, training, knowledge transfer and change management activities.
- Ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Lead relevant stakeholder workshops to gather business and technical requirements.
- Deliver a comprehensive implementation plan with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation – in consultation with PM.
- Provide advice for configuration of agreed Workday HCM modules.
- Provide advice and artefacts required to develop required reports and dashboards aligned with business KPIs.
- Advise on required set up of security roles and permissions.
- Lead and advise on activities required to complete all testing and resolve any configuration defects.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles and document outcomes.
- Deliver training materials and conduct sessions for HR and end‑users.
- Finalize cutover strategy and readiness checklist.
- Transfer knowledge during the implementation in relation to configuration and maintenance to Pay.UK SME’s.
- Execute cutover activities and support go‑live.
- Monitor system performance and resolve post-launch issues.
- Conduct post‑implementation review and document lessons learned.
- Deliver final system documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Ensure all deliverables are signed off and archived.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Workday HCM implementation experience.
- Demonstrated success in configuring and deploying Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Talent, Absence, Compensation).
- Proficiency in Workday business process configuration, security setup, reporting, and data migration.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and organisational structures.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams (HR, IT, Finance).
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage timelines, risks, and dependencies independently.
